JIM's CANDLELIGHT DANCING IS ON THE MOVE

Starting in October, Jim's Candlelight Dancing in PLYMOUTH will be at a new venue and a new day.

On September 5th & 19th the Plymouth dance will be at the usual venue, City College. Kings Road.
Devonport. Plymouth. PL1 5QG.
On FRIDAY October 2nd & FRIDAY October 16th the dance will be at  The Woolwell Centre. Darklake Lane.
Woolwell. Plymouth. PL6 7TR.
On Saturday 31st, Jim has his final dance at City College. This will be an Elegance Night and the Charity Presentation event.
Starting FRIDAY 13th November Jim starts regular bi-weekly dances at the Woolwell Centre.

It is always a sad time when one has to move a dance venue (The City College are doing extensive re-building and the large
Dance Hall will no longer be available)  I am confident that, once people get used to the new venue and the new day
Jim's Canlelight Dancing will continue much improved and even more fun.

SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCING

Do you fancy Scottish Country Dancing?  Then you need 5to speak to Pauline Beeson of the Royal Scottish Country
Dance Society in Exeter.
Apart from having lot's of information on their web site (www.rscdsexeter.org.uk)  RSCDS
Exeter Branch also runs regular Scottish Country Dance Classes at St. Matthew's Church Hall.
Lower Summerlands. Exeter. EX1 2LJ.  These are held on a Thursday evening, 7:45 to 9:15 from
September to May. I have also updated her contact details on the Database.

There is no better time than now to learn that fabulous style of dancing, particularly with the festive
season almost upon us. Why not contact Pauline on 01395 442724 or by e.mail: info@rscdsexeter.org.uk
about her dance classes or where else in the West Country you can learn Scottish Country Dancing.

I wish I was free on a Thursday or I would be joining the Scottish Country Dancers. If you go along,
let me know how you get on.  Scottish Country Dancing is SUCH FUN.

I don't have a kilt but I do have Royal Stewart Trousers with a Scottish Jacket & Waistcoat. (Not a pretty sight)

DAVID READ is a name that many of you will know from his wonderful dance music CD's but did

you also know that for 8 years he ran the music department at Harrods of Knightsbridge until that department was closed
in 2012. He later joined the cruise ship The QM2 where he played for Ballroom Dancing on their World 2013 cruise.

Although David had originally been taught to dance by Len Goodman at his world famous dance school it is a strange
coincidence that he started his dance music career by going to one of Sid Gateley's dances at the Livermead House Hotel
here in Torquay over 12 years ago. I know that Sid, along with many other Dance Hosts still uses Davids music.

David Read's own web site is:  http://www.davidjread.com where you can find out more information about him as well as
purchase one or more of his CD's.  His e.mail address is: davidballroom@yahoo.co.uk

In the last 12 months David has produced four new recordings so if you would like more details have a look at his web site
and contact him. As always, tell him that 'Dancing Dennis' sent you.
